Export or delete everything, anytime.
Petwell stores what you give it so it can do its job. Here is exactly what that is, and how to take it all with you or delete it entirely, whenever you want.
Three things, plainly stated.
Petwell stores only what it needs to be useful to you and your pet. Nothing more.
Your pets
Each pet profile you create: name, species, breed, birthday, and any notes you add. Petwell uses these to personalise guidance for each animal.
Checks and guidance
Every symptom check you run, including what you described, any photo you added, and the guidance Petwell gave you. Photos are not stored after a check is complete.
Tracking records
Weight entries, medication records, vaccination dates, and any other records you save. Stored so your history is accurate and complete over time.
Encrypted at rest and in transit
All your data is encrypted in storage and in transit. We use standard, audited cloud infrastructure with no custom crypto.
Never sold
Petwell does not sell your personal information or pet data to any third party. Not to data brokers, advertisers, or research organisations.
Photos not kept
Photos you add to a check are processed in the moment and not stored after the check completes. We do not build a photo archive.
Export your data
Download a complete copy of everything Petwell holds about you at any time. The export is a plain JSON file that includes your account, pets, tracking records, and checks. No special software is needed to read it.
Find it in Settings / Your data / Export inside the app.
Delete your account
Deleting your account permanently removes all your pets, records, and checks from Petwell. This is not a soft delete or an archive. Your data is gone.
Deletion typically completes within 30 days as it propagates through backups. We keep records that the law requires us to keep, such as billing records, but not your pet or health data.
Find it in Settings / Your data / Delete account inside the app.
Who can see your data.
Your data is visible to you and to the parts of Petwell that need it to do a specific job, such as running a check. Petwell employees can access account data only when needed to support you, and only with appropriate controls in place.
If you use Family sharing, you choose exactly which people can see which pets, and what they can view. You can change or remove access at any time from Settings.
We never train on your data.
When Petwell uses an AI model to generate guidance for your pet, your data is processed under a data agreement that prohibits the provider from using it to train public models. Your pets and checks are yours, not training material.
